Linda Olson Presents Teri Hawkins Shifting to the New Paradigm

People buy from people they feel connected to. You have to touch them emotionally.

You will not want to miss hearing Teri Hawkins, at the Greenhouse Café, on Thursday,

October 3, at 5:00p.m. in Lancaster, CA. Teri is a one of a kind, entrepreneur coach who

remains on the cutting edge of business. Space is limited so come early. No fee, just

purchase your dinner and join us for a wonderful evening.

What worked before is not working today. Many of us are using much time and energy

working in the old paradigm to try and create a successful business instead of using

our valuable time and energy to learn the new paradigm. Since the old paradigm is not

bringing us the success we hoped for it, it has left us scrambling to make a decent income

and maintain the lifestyle we desire. We are working twice as hard for much less.

In the new paradigm, the champion entrepreneur focuses on getting people to buy

from you as opposed to selling to them. So, how does that happen? The first step in

developing this skill is learning to connect. People buy when they feel connected to

you. You have to touch them emotionally.

One of the best ways to do that is to turn the conversation back to them as quickly as

you can. When someone asks the typical question in a networking situation, “What

do you do?” you may respond with, “I would love to share with you, but first I would

like to hear about you.” Most people are thrilled to talk about themselves and will be

so pleased you asked. By focusing on them, you are confirming their value.

Remember, people buy from people them feel connected to. It’s learning to approach

sales from a relationship perspective. Although at first it may not appear that you

are getting anywhere with your ultimate goal, it is the beginning of developing trust

for a much deeper relationship. As you develop this skill, this approach will open up

doors of opportunity that will maximize your impact.

Henry Thoreau says, “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.”

Linda Olson Presents Teri Hawkins “Grateful Heart”

Teri Hawkins says, “People buy differently when they buy from a heart of gratitude.”
They purchase from their strengths, rather than trying to fill an emotional need. Join
us for an informal evening to hear one of the top entrepreneur and sales coaches in the
country, Teri Hawkins. She will be speaking at the Greenhouse Café in Lancaster on
Thursday, October 3, at 5:00p.m. Space is limited, so come early. No fee.
Just purchase dinner and join us for a great evening.

Learn to be thankful for what you already have, while you pursue all that you want. I

believe one of the greatest and perhaps one of the simplest lessons in life we can learn is

to be thankful for what we have already received and accomplished. Both the years and

the experiences have brought me here to where I stand today, but it is the thankfulness

that opened the windows of opportunities, of blessings, of unique experiences to flow my

way. These are words of wisdom from Jim Rohn.

Mesiter Eckhart says, “If the only prayer you say in your whole life is

“Thank you,” that would suffice.” It is the heart of thanksgiving. It is the key to

transforming your life.

The mediocre person begins his day with having to go to work. The champion

entrepreneur begins his day with wanting to go to work. In business, people buy

differently with an attitude of gratitude. They purchase from their strengths, rather

than trying to fill an emotional need. In the same way, people sell differently from a

grateful heart. They are much more relaxed and confident about attracting the right

buyers for their product. That is much different than the pushy salesperson that comes

across desperate to sell his product. Marsha Burns says, “Gratitude leads to strength and

blessing.” Grumbling on the other hand, leads to weakness and cursing.

An attitude of gratitude will set you up for unstoppable blessings. When you grasp the

power of gratitude, blessings will come looking for you. Truly understanding the power

of gratitude can change your life forever.”

Wow Devotional Speaker Linda Olson Every Person Counts

While we were on vacation, my husband and I stepped into our favorite grocery store. Just then a van pulled up near the door. The lady got out, walked around the front of the van, pulled down a ramp, and two young girls rolled down the ramp in their motorized vehicles. Both of them had cerebral palsy. As the girls rolled down the aisles they were giggling and laughing. I glanced over to see a young, college-age man place a bouquet of flowers into each of their carts and hand one of them a bouquet of balloons. Then he grabbed a microphone and announced to the entire store, “I would like everyone to come to the front of the store and sing Happy Birthday to Amy.” That day this young man, not only touched Amy’s life, he touched mine.

Several days later, I went back to the store and was pleased to be able to track down the young man. I told him how his kind gesture had impacted my life. Then, I asked, if he knew the girls. I thought that very likely they were regular customers. Much to my surprise he said, “Never saw them before”.  Now, it really peeked my curiosity. So, I asked, “How did you know it was Amy’s birthday?” He looked rather sheepish and said, “You would be surprised what we hear when we are straightening the fruits and vegetables.”

God tells us we are His top priority, “God decided to give us life through the word of truth so we might be the most important of all the things He made.” James 1:18 NCV.

This young man took to heart that every person counts. He went out of his way to touch a young girl’s life in a way she will never forget.

Max Lucado says,

With God, every day matters, every person counts. And that includes you.

We, Terilee Harrison, Nancy Burroughs and Linda Olson have

opened our hearts to share our journey of finding worth in Christ. We want

you to experience that as well. Please join us on November 2, at the

Women of Worth Christian Retreat in Lake Hughes, CA.

Several years ago I heard a National speaker share a story about his mother who had Alzheimer’s. He would faithfully visit her and eventually she passed away. At her memorial service he saw a woman who was sobbing uncontrollably. He made his way over and sat next to her, giving her time to regain control of her emotions. Then he gently said to her, “This woman must have meant a lot to you.” She nodded, “I was her nurse and every morning as I brought her breakfast, she would say, ‘Did anyone ever tell you how beautiful you are?’”

The nurse had embraced the woman’s kind words and they became the basis for her self-worth. As the elderly woman died, so did the nurse’s self worth.

It is so easy to let someone else determine our worth. Without knowing it we give other people the power to say who we are. In God’s eyes this woman’s worth did not change one little bit. Her loved her just as much before as He did now.

Psalms 139:14(LB) reminds us that He has gone to great lengths to make us an unique and special. “Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous and how well I know it.” That tells me I am a Designer’s special.

Max Lucado says, God can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart. Face it, friend. He’s crazy about you. At the Wow, Women of Worth Christian Retreat you will discover just how much God loves you. Join us at the Painted Turtle on November 2. You will be glad you did.

WOW, Women of Worth Christian Retreat, began as the hearts of four inspired women, Yvette Emard, Terilee Harrison, Nancy Burroughs, and Linda Olson came together to share their dreams. It is the perfect environment of serenity and healing.

Each of the featured speakers, Terilee Harrison, Nancy Burroughs and Linda Olson have climbed a rugged terrain over many years and found the peace, serenity and love that only God can bring. Their stories will inspire, uplift, and empower you to rise to a new level.

WoW Retreat Speaker Linda Olson Count your Blessings

There is an old hymn that says, “Count your many blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.” There is much wisdom in the words of this hymn, for not only is it a great practice to name your blessings, it is a way of acknowledging God for what He has done.

In the Old Testament, God asked Abraham to look up to the stars. He promised Abraham that he would have as many descendants as there were stars. This appeared to be impossible since Abraham and his wife, Sarah, were old and didn’t have any children. Although Abraham did not live to see all his descendants, God  fulfilled that promise in generations to come. Max Lucado says, “We forget that impossible is one of God’s favorite words.”

God truly has more blessings for us than we can count. Psalm 40:5 says, “Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count.” A great exercise to discover God’s blessings is not only to name the blessings verbally but to write them down. I challenge you to take ten to fifteen minutes a day and write down as many blessings as you can. You will be amazed at how quickly they will multiply. And what is even more significant, everything around you begins to take on a new perspective.

Wow Devotional Speaker Linda Olson God’s Love Covers All

As we stepped out of the car by the ocean, my husband spotted a seagull in the cold wind enjoying the wave of victory. Just before the wave came crashing against the rock, the seagull rose, allowing the wave time to withdraw and then calmly settled down on the rock. He was having the time of his life.

This little seagull had learned to rise above his challenge. We watched this for about fifteen minutes and he just kept repeating it over and over again.  It wasn’t until I got our photos printed that I saw a picture of joy. The seagull had turned his challenge of facing the wave of adversity into the joy of rising above.

Most of the time we would ignore the typical scene of seagulls by the ocean. For some reason this time it caught my husband’s eye. The more I processed this, the more I realized the view of the seagull held a valuable life lesson. The seagull was not carrying any past baggage, therefore was able to lift himself up every time a new wave appeared so he could soar to victory. As I learned to let go of the baggage of guilt, shame, unforgiveness, sadness and so much more, I experienced a new freedom, more laughter, more joy and a deeper peace. I began enjoying the life of abundance God had for me. Psalm 31:7 (NASB) says, “I will be glad and rejoice in Your lovingkindness, Because you have seen my afflictions; You have known the troubles of my soul.”

Max Lucado says,

“It’s time to let God’s love cover all things in your life. All secrets. All hurts.”

At Wow, Women of Worth Christian Retreat on November 2 you will learn

just how to do that.  Come and be refreshed through praise, wonderful

teaching and experience God’s serenity.
